POSITION OVERVIEW:
Will perform and supervise the installation, integration, test, configuration, cutover and maintenance of multi-vendor telecommunications systems. Work to stage and test configurations prior to deployment. Work with sub-contractors to deploy and commission networks. Help in developing test plans and procedures, isolate and correct common and complex issues identified as network related or network element specific. Work in a broad range of environments, ILECs, CLECs, and large private network operators. Equipment will include layer2 switches routers, and sonet multiplexers.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
This position requires 3 or more years of industry experience, BS degree or equivalent work experience. Will work under general supervision.
Should have experience in the installation, test and turn-up telecommunications equipment, writing test plans and procedures. Should have a fundamental understanding of ip and Ethernet.

Able to operate DS-1/DS-3 BERTs
Have general familiarity with other telecommunications test equipment such as fiber
optic power meters and sources.
